Abstract

In December 2020, total commodity exports through the port in Kalimantan Utara Province reached US $ 88.49 million, an increase of 12.67 percent compared to November 2020 conditions which reached US $ 78.53 million. The export value for the January-December 2020 period reached US $ 945.52 million or decreased by 9.96 percent compared to January-December in 2019.

The increase in exports in December 2020 compared to November 2020 was caused by an increase in the value of the export value of the non-oil and gas goods group in the industrial sector by 50.09 percent.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2020 reached US $ 12.13 million or decreased compared to imports in November 2020. When compared to the January-December 2019 period, the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province for the January-December 2020 period increased by 45.70 percent.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2020 was dominated by non-oil and gas goods, especially the industrial product group.
The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2020 was a surplus of US $ 76.36 million, an increase of 23.07 percent when compared to the trade balance in November 2020 which was a surplus of US $ 62.05 million.
