Abstract

In June 2020, total commodity exports through ports in Kalimantan Utara Province reached US $ 72.34 million, an increase of 16.31 percent compared to the conditions in May 2020 which reached US $ 62.20 million. The export value for the January-June 2020 period reached US $ 491.33 million, an increase of 1.11 percent compared to January-June in 2019.

The increase in exports in June 2020 compared to May 2020 was due to an increase in exports of non-oil and gas goods in the mining sector by 20.36 percent.
The value of imports of Kalimantan Utara Province in June 2020 reached US $ 7.61 million or increased compared to imports in May 2020. When compared with the period January-June 2019, the value of imports of Kalimantan Utara Province in the period January-June 2020 decreased by 32.86 percent.
The value of imports of Kalimantan Utara Province in June 2020 was dominated by non-oil and gas commodities, mainly the industrial products group.
The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in June 2020 was a surplus of US $ 64.73 million, an increase of 10.00 percent when compared to the trade balance in May 2020 which was a surplus of US $ 58.85 million.
