Abstract

In October 2020, total commodity exports through the port in Kalimantan Utara Province reached US $ 68.30 million, a decrease of 7.69 percent compared to September 2020 which reached US $ 73.99 million. The export value for the January - October 2020 period reached US $ 778.50 million or decreased by 9.76 percent compared to January-October in 2019.

The decline in exports in October 2020 compared to September 2020 was caused by a decline in exports of the non-oil and gas goods group in the mining sector by 16.33 percent.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in October 2020 reached US $ 3.31 million or decreased compared to imports in September 2020. When compared to the January-October 2019 period, the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province for the January-October 2020 period increased by 4.44 percent.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in October 2020 was dominated by non-oil and gas goods, especially the industrial product group.
The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in October 2020 was a surplus of US $ 64.99 million, an increase of 2.89 percent when compared to the trade balance in September 2020 which was a surplus of US $ 63.16 million.
