Abstract

In September 2020, total commodity exports through the port in Kalimantan Utara Province reached US $ 73.99 million, an increase of 4.94 percent compared to August 2020, which reached US $ 70.51 million. The export value for the January-September 2020 period reached US $ 710.20 million or decreased by 8.10 percent compared to January-September in 2019.

The increase in exports in September 2020 compared to August 2020 was caused by an increase in exports of the non-oil and gas goods group in the mining sector by 9.49 percent.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in September 2020 reached US $ 10.83 million or an increase compared to imports in August 2020. When compared to the January-September 2019 period, the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province for the January-September 2020 period increased by 4.44 percent.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in September 2020 was dominated by non-oil and gas goods, especially the industrial product group.
The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in September 2020 was a surplus of US $ 63.16 million, a decrease of 5.76 percent when compared to the trade balance in August 2020 which was a surplus of US $ 67.02 million.
