Abstract

In July 2020, total commodity exports through the port in Kalimantan Utara Province reached US$ 74.37 million, an increase of 2.80 percent compared to the conditions in June 2020 which reached US$ 72.34 million. The export value for the January-July 2020 period reached US$ 565.70 million or decreased by 2.38 percent compared to January-July in 2019.

The increase in exports in July 2020 compared to June 2020 was caused by an increase in exports of the non-oil and gas goods group in the Industrial sector by 45.51 percent.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in July 2020 reached US$ 9.51 million or an increase compared to imports in June 2020. When compared to the January-July 2019 period, the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province for the January-July 2020 period decreased by 18.33 percent.
The value of imports of Kalimantan Utara Province in July 2020 was dominated by non-oil and gas commodities, especially the agricultural product group.
The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in July 2020 was a surplus of US $ 64.84 million, an increase of 0.19 percent when compared to the trade balance in June 2020 which was a surplus of US$ 64.73 million.
