Abstract

The Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) of five-star hotels and other accommodations in Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2020 was 25.31 percent or decreased by 5.44 points compared to the ROR in December 2019 which was recorded at 30.75 percent.
The Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) of starred hotels in Tarakan Municipality in January 2020 was 33.11 percent, a decrease of 15.50 points compared to the TPK of December 2019 which was 48.61 percent.
Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) of other accommodation hotels in Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2020 was 21.93 percent, a decrease of 4.63 points compared to the ROR for December 2019 which was 26.56 percent.
The average length of foreign and domestic guests staying at star hotels and other accommodation in Kalimantan Utara Province in January 2020 for 1.22 days. The average length of stay of foreign guests is 1.24 days and the average length of stay of domestic guests is 1.22 days.
The number of foreign tourists visiting in January 2020 was recorded at 43,207 visits or decreased by 14,036 visits compared to the previous month which reached 57,243 visits.
Sea transport passengers departing in January 2020 were 18,279 people, down 40.06 percent compared to the previous month (December 2019) which recorded 30,493 people. The number of goods loaded in January 2020 increased by 11.39 percent or decreased from 883,401 tons in December 2019 to 3,363,787 tons in January 2020.
The number of aircraft departing from the Airport in Kalimantan Utara in January 2020 recorded 659 flights, a decrease of 23.82 percent compared with the previous month (December 2019) which recorded 865 flights. The number of passengers departing in January was 41,556 people, a decrease of 16.47 percent compared to December 2019 with 49,751 people.
