July 2019, exports reached US $ 93.52 million, imports reached US $ 4.32 million in Kalimantan Utara Province.

Abstract

In July 2019, total commodity exports through ports in Kalimantan Utara reached US $ 93.52 million, an increase of 62.22 percent compared to the conditions in June 2019 which reached US $ 57.65 million. The value of exports for the period January – July 2019 reached US $ 579.49 million, down 10.42 percent compared to January – July in 2018.

The increase in exports in July 2019 compared to June 2019 was caused by the increase in exports of non-oil and gas goods in the industrial processing sector, mining products and agricultural products by 46.58 percent, 65.78 percent and 40.82 percent.
The value of imports of Kalimantan Utara Province in July 2019 reached US $ 4.32 million or decreased by 39.44 percent compared with imports in June 2019. When compared with the January – July 2018 period, the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in the January – July 2019 period increased by 2.56 percent.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in July 2019 is dominated by non-oil commodity commodities, mainly the group of industrial products.
The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in July 2019 was a surplus of US $ 89.21 million, an increase of 76.55 percent when compared to the trade balance in June 2019 which was a surplus of US $ 50.53 million.
