Abstract

Hotel and other accommodation occupancy rates in Kalimantan Utara Province in March 2019 amounted to 33.05 percent or increased 6.09 points compared to Hotel and other accommodation occupancy rates in February 2019 which was recorded at 26.96 percent

The star hotels occupancy rates in Tarakan Municipality in March 2019 amounted to 52.82 percent, an increase of 12.80 points compared to star hotels occupancy rates in February 2019 which was 40.02 percent.

The average length of time guests stay at other hotels and accommodations in Kalimantan Utara Province in March 2019 for 1.32 days. The average length of stay of foreign guests is 1.73 days and the average length of time a domestic guest stays is 1.31 days.

The number of foreign tourist visits in March 2019 was recorded at 50,539 visits, an increase of 2,683 visits compared to the previous month which reached 47,856 visits.

Cumulatively, the number of foreign tourists visiting Kalimantan Utara in the period January – March 2018 reached 104,772 visits, while during January – March 2019 it reached 146,694 visits.
