Abstract

  • The economy of Kalimantan Utara in 2018 which is measured based on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of the current price of Rp. 86.06 trillion, an increase of Rp. 9.13 trillion from 2017 and on the basis of constant 2010 prices of Rp. 57.83 trillion, an increase of Rp. 3.29 trillion.
  • The economy of Kalimantan Utara in 2018 grew by 6.04 percent, the highest growth achieved by the Business Field of Provision of Accommodation and Food Drinking at 11.96 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth in the Export of Goods and Services was 7.51 percent.
  • The economy of Kalimantan Utara in quarter IV-2018 against the fourth quarter of 2017 (y-on-y) grew 7.69 percent. In terms of production, growth was driven by all business fields with the highest growth in the Construction category at 12.76 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth in the Components of Exports of Goods and Services grew by 8.47 percent.
  • The economy of Kalimantan Utara in quarter IV-2018 against the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 4.61 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth in the Construction business field was 10.18 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component was 19.28 percent.
  • The economic structure of Kalimantan Utara quarter IV-2018 is dominated by the mining and quarrying business with a contribution of 27.32 percent. In terms of expenditure, it was dominated by the Export of Goods and Services component with a contribution of 87.97 percent.
