Abstract

    The economy of Kalimantan Utara in the second quarter of 2019 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current market prices of Rp. 23.67 trillion, while based on GRDP based on 2010 constant market prices of Rp. 15.24 trillion.
  • The economic performance of Kalimantan Utara in quarter II-2019 against quarter II-2018 (y-on-y) grew by 7.87 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was in the Construction Business Field at 19.30 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was in the Inter-Regional Net Export Component, which grew by 43.43 percent.
  • Compared to quarter I-2019, the economic performance of North Kalimantan in quarter II-2019 grew by 1.09 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the highest growth in the Electricity and Gas Business Field was 2.76 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was in the Government Consumption Expenditure Component, which grew by 59.40 percent.
  • Cumulatively, the economy of Kalimantan Utara in semester 1 of 2019 compared to semester 1 of 2018 grew by 7.52 percent (c-to-c). In terms of production, the highest growth was in the Construction Business Field at 11.90 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was in the Inter-Regional Net Export Component, which grew by 26.02 percent.
  • In Kalimantan, the economic contribution was still dominated by Kalimantan Timur at 51.90 percent and the lowest in Kalimantan Utara at 7.28 percent.
