December 2018, Export Reached 91.96 Million US$, Import Reached 16.74 Million US$ in Kalimantan Utara Province

Abstract

In December 2018, total commodity exports through ports in Kalimantan Utara Province reached US$ 91.96 Million, an increase of 6.07 percent compared to November 2018 which reached US$ 86.70 Million. When compared to December 2017, the export value in December 2018 increased by 29.03 percent. All exports through ports in Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2018 are in the form of non-oil and gas goods.
Cumulatively the value of non-oil and gas exports through ports in Kalimantan Utara Province from January to December 2018 reached US$ 1,089.10 million, up 18.39 percent compared to the same period in 2017 which reached US$ 919.92.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2018 in the form of oil and gas goods commodities reached US$ 0.08 million, while non-oil commodity commodities reached US$ 16.66 million.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2018 reached US$ 16.74 million or increased by 398.20 percent compared to November 2018 imports. When compared to December 2017, the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2018 increased by 1,250.0 percent.
Cumulatively the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province from January to December 2018 reached US$ 91.17 million, increased by 302.94 percent compared to the same period in 2017.
The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2018 was a surplus of US$ 75.30 million, a decrease compared to the trade balance in November 2018 which was a surplus of US$ 83.90 million. While cumulatively, the trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province for the period of January - December 2018 was a surplus of US$ 999.59 million.
