Abstract

The total workforce in February 2024 was 358,450 people, down 14,619 people compared to February 2023. The decrease in the workforce was also accompanied by a decrease in the Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) of 2.51 percentage points compared to February 2024.
  • The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) for February was 4.01 percent, down 0.09 percentage points compared to February 2023.
  • The working population is 344,064 people, a decrease of 13,713 people from February 2024. The jobs that experienced the largest increase in labor absorption compared to February 2023 were construction jobs at 2.99 percent.
  • In February 2024, the population working in informal activities was 167,773 people (48.76 percent). The population working in formal activities in February 2024 increased by 6.51 percentage points compared to February 2023.
  • The percentage of underemployed increased by 0.03 percentage points and the percentage of part-time workers decreased by 3.69 percentage points.
