Abstract

The workforce in Kalimantan Utara in August 2018 reached 341,197 people, an increase of 10,466 people compared to the August 2017 workforce (330,731 people).
The number of people working in Kalimantan Utara in August 2018 reached 323,400 people, an increase of 10,984 people compared to the situation in August 2017 (312,416 people).
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Kalimantan Utara in August 2018 reached 5.22 percent or as many as 17,797 people, a decrease compared to the TPT in August 2017 of 5.54 percent (18,315 people).
In August 2018, the population generally works in the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries sector by 26.34 percent, the next is the Large Trade and Retail sector; Car and Motorcycle Repair and Maintenance amounted to 16.92 percent and Government Administration, Defense and Obligatory Social Security sectors amounted to 12.09 percent.
In August 2018, 99,513 people (30.77 percent) worked with less than 35 hours per week working hours, while the population working with 35 hours or more working hours (including those who were temporarily unemployed) reached 223,887 people (69.23 percent).
