Abstract

Of the 90 national CPI monitoring cities, in September 2023, the highest year on year (yoy) inflation was Manokwari City at 5.26 percent, Tanjung Pandan City at 5.03 percent and Merauke City at 4.72 percent. Meanwhile, the cities with the lowest inflation were Gorontalo City at 1.16 percent, Manado City at 1.16 percent and Bungo City at 1.17 percent.
  • The combined prices of goods/services for Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City in September 2023 experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.16 percent with monthly deflation (mtm) of -0.07 percent. Tanjung Selor City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 1.69 percent with monthly deflation (mtm) of -0.44 percent. Tarakan City experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 2.28 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.03 percent.
  • The combined monthly deflation (mtm) of Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City was influenced by the food, beverage and tobacco group at -0.29 percent, the health group at -0.08 percent, the transportation group at -0.07 percent. The groups that experienced inflation were the information, communication and financial services group at 0.15 percent, the supplies, equipment and routine household maintenance group at 0.13 percent, the personal care and other services group at 0.09 percent, the food and beverage provision group /restaurants by 0.07 percent, housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.03 percent, clothing and footwear group by 0.00 percent, recreation, sports and culture group by 0.00 percent and group education by 0.00 percent.
