Abstract

The economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in 2021 as measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current market prices reached IDR 110.67 trillion and based on 2010 constant market prices reached IDR 63.16 trillion.
Economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in 2021 (c-to-c) grew 3.98 percent, compared to 2020. From the production side, the highest growth was achieved by the Health Services and Social Activities business field of 8.55 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the component of Exports of Goods and Services at the component of Exports of Goods and Services of 10.86 percent.
The economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in the fourth quarter of 2021 when compared to the fourth quarter of 2020 (y-on-y) grew by 7.08 percent compared to the same period the previous year. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Mining and Quarrying business sector at 14.96 percent. In terms of expenditure, the highest growth was achieved by the component of the Export of Goods and Services at 15.39 percent.
Economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in the fourth quarter of 2021 compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q) grew by 1.93 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was also achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement business field of 7.24 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest growth was achieved by the Government Consumption Expenditure Component component of 3.62 percent.
Spatially, the economic growth of the Kalimantan Island region in 2021 grew by 3.18 percent with the highest growth in Kalimantan Barat Province, which grew 4.78 percent. Meanwhile, Kalimantan Utara Province occupies the second position with a growth of 3.98 percent.
