Abstract

Farmer Terms of Trade (FTT) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

FTT is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FTT also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the FTT, the relatively strong the farmer's level of ability / purchasing power.
FTT of Kalimantan Utara Province in May 2021 amounted to 105.61, an increase of 0.72 percent compared to FTT in April 2021. The increase in FTT was caused by changes in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which was higher than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).
FTT per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province in May 2021, namely the Food Crops Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPP) of 99.21; Horticultural Farmer Terms of Trade (NTPH) of 96.13; Plantation Plants Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPR) is 130.58; Livestock Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPT) is 106.72 and the Fishermen and Fish Cultivators Farmers Terms of Trade (NTNP) is 103.34.
Agricultural Household Business Terms of Trade of Kalimantan Utara Province (NTUP) in May 2021 was 108.25, an increase of 0.91 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
