Abstract

Farmer Terms of Trade (FTT) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • FTT is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. FTT also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the FTT, the relatively strong the farmer's level of ability / purchasing power.
  • The FTT of Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2021 was 106.17 or up 0.52 percent compared to the FTT in July 2021. The increase in FTT was caused by changes in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which was higher than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).
  • FTT per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province in August 2021, namely the Food Crops Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPP) of 99.63; Horticultural Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPH) of 95.39; People's Plantation Crops Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPR) is 133.30; The Livestock Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPT) is 104.32 and the Fishermen and Fish Cultivators Farmers Terms of Trade (NTNP) is 104.86.
