Abstract

Out of 90 national CPI monitoring municipalities, in January 2020 there were 79 municipalities experiencing inflation and 11 other municipalities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Meulaboh Municipality by 1.44 percent while the lowest inflation was in Gorontalo Municipality by 0.03 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Bau-Bau Municipality by -1.39 percent while the lowest deflation occurred in Kudus Municipality by -0.01 percent.

In Kalimantan Utara Province, in January 2020 there was an inflation of 0.01 percent. Meanwhile Tarakan Municipality experienced deflation of -0.07 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality inflation of 0.35 percent.
Inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province was affected by the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.20 percent, the personal care and other services group by 0.78 percent, the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.57 percent, the education group by 0.50 percent, housing, water, electricity and other fuels by 0.03 percent, the health group by 0.14 percent, the household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.07 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0, 02 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.01 percent, and clothing and footwear by 0.01 percent. Deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province was affected by the transportation group by -4.07 percent.
