Abstract

In November 2019, total commodity exports through ports in Kalimantan Utara reached US $ 87.46 million, a decrease of 2.75 percent compared to the conditions in November 2019 which reached US $ 89.93 million. The export value for the period of January – November 2019 reached US $ 950.16 million or decreased by 4.71 percent compared to January – November in the year 2018.

The decline in exports in November 2019 compared to October 2019 was caused by a decrease in exports of the non-oil and gas goods group in the industrial products sector by -28.83 percent.
The value of imports of Kalimantan Utara Province in November 2019 reached US $ 4.13 million, an increase of 88.06 percent compared to imports in October 2019. When compared to the January-November 2018 period, the import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in the January-November 2019 period decreased by 25.29 percent.
The import value of Kalimantan Utara Province in November 2019 is dominated by non-oil commodity commodities, mainly the industrial products group.
The trade balance of Kalimantan Utara Province in November 2019 was a surplus of US $ 83.33 million, a decrease of 5.02 percent when compared to the trade balance in October 2019 which was a surplus of US $ 87.73 million.
