August 2019: Open Unemployment Rate in Kalimantan Utara at 4.40 percent

Abstract

The number of the workforce in Kalimantan Utara in August 2019 reached 349,157 people, an increase of 7,960 compared to the workforce in August 2018 (341,197 people).

The number of people working in Kalimantan Utara in August 2019 reached 333,777 people, an increase of 10,377 compared to the situation in August 2018 (323,400 people).
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Kalimantan Utara in August 2019 reached 4.40 percent or as many as 15,380 people, a decrease compared to the August TPT of 2018 which was 5.22 percent (17,797 people).
In August 2019, the population generally worked in the field of Agriculture (A) by 30.54 percent, followed by trade (G) by 15.41 percent and Government Administration (O) by 10.38 percent.
In August 2019, 101,466 people (30.40 percent) worked less than 35 hours a week, while the population worked 35 hours or more per week (including temporarily unemployed) reaching 232,311 people (69.60 percent).
