Abstract

The number of workforce in Kalimantan Utara in February 2019 reached 356,282 people, an increase of 8,659 compared to the February 2018 workforce (347,623 people).
The number of people working in Kalimantan Utara in February 2019 reached 335,601 people, an increase of 4,250 people compared to the situation in February 2018 (331,351 person).
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Kalimantan Utara in February 2019 reached 5.80 percent or as many as 20,681 people, an increase compared to the TPT in February 2018 which amounted to 4.68 percent (16,272 people).
In February 2019, the population in Kalimantan Utara generally worked in the Agricultural business field (A) of 32.31 percent, followed by trade (G) of 14.63 percent and Government Administration (O) of 10.54 percent.
In February 2019, as many as 96,335 people in Kalimantan Utara (28.71 percent) worked with a number of working hours of less than 35 hours per week, while the population working with a number of hours worked 35 hours or more weeks (including those temporarily not working) reached 239,266 people (71.29 percent).
