Abstract

The total labor force in Kalimantan Utara in February 2018 reached 347,623 people, increasing by 23,037 people compared to the labor force in February 2017 (324,586 people).
The number of people working in Kalimantan Utara in February 2018 reached 331,351 people, increasing by 23,539 people compared to the situation in February 2017 (307,812 people).
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Kalimantan Utara in February 2018 reached 4.68 percent or as many as 16,272 people, decreasing compared to the TPT in February 2017 which amounted to 5.17 percent (16,774 people).
In February 2018, the population generally worked on A-farm, forestry and fishery categories of 24.42 percent, the next was the G-Large and Retail categories; Repair and Maintenance of Automobiles and Motorcycles by 20.16 percent and activities in the O-Government Administration category of 15.20 percent.
In February 2018, 84,320 people (25.45 percent) worked with less than 35 hours of working hours per week, while residents worked with 35 hours or more working hours per week (including those not working) of 247,031 people (74.55 percent).
