Development of Dissemination of Statistics Services at the Statistical Corner of UBT

The Statistical Corner is one of BPS's quick wins in 2022 as an effort by BPS to bring statistics closer to academics in universities. The Statistics Corner of the University of Borneo Tarakan (UBT) is a collaboration between the BPS of North Kalimantan Province and the University of Borneo Tarakan (UBT). In the implementation of statistical services in the Statistical Corner, statistical agents and statistical consultants play an important role as service providers in the Statistical Corner. To improve the competence and ability of statistical agents and statistical consultants in carrying out their duties, Statistical Service Dissemination Development was carried out on Thursday (25/08). This hybrid activity was carried out face-to-face at the Tarakan City BPS Office and virtually through a zoom meeting with the participants of the Statistical Agent Team, the Statistical Consultant Team, and the IPDS Function of Regency/City BPS in North Kalimantan Province. The resource persons for this activity were representatives from the Central BPS Statistical Corner Team, namely Stefanie Intan Christinova, S.ST., M.Stat. and Qurrata Ayuni Afuw, S.ST.

The material presented by the speakers was related to the Offline Statistics Corner service at UBT College and the Virtual Statistics Corner through the website http://pojokstatistik.bps.go.id, service products at BPS, and materials related to soft skills as service officers. With the implementation of this statistical dissemination service, it is hoped that statistical agents and statistical consultants can provide increasingly excellent services at the UBT Statistics Corner.
