Abstract

The number of poor people in North Kalimantan in March 2023 was 47.97 thousand (6.45 percent). In September 2022 the number of poor people was 50.58 thousand (6.86 percent), meaning that the number of poor people decreased by 2.6 thousand people or in percentage terms decreased by 0.41 percentage point.
  • During September 2022 - March 2023, the poverty line (GK) increased by 1.91 percent, namely from Rp. 802,566 per capita per month in September 2022 to Rp. 817,876,- per capita per month in March 2023.
  • In the period September 2022-March 2023, the Poverty Depth Index (P1) experienced an increase, from 0.603 in September 2022 to 0.639 in March 2023. The same thing happened to the Poverty Severity Index (P2), which increased from 0.098 to 0.107.
  • In March 2023, the level of inequality in population spending as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.277. This figure has increased when compared to the September 2022 Gini Ratio.
  • In March 2023, the distribution of expenses for the bottom 40 percent of the population is 23.77 percent. This means that people's expenditure is still in the category of low levels of inequality.
