Abstract

The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels and other accommodations in North Kalimantan Province in May 2023 was 37.99 percent or an increase of 6.94 points compared to the TPK in April 2023 which was recorded at 31.05 percent.
  • The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in North Kalimantan Province in May 2023 was 51.29 percent, an increase of 10.63 points compared to the April 2023 TPK which was 40.66 percent.
  • The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of non-star hotels/other accommodations in North Kalimantan Province in May 2023 was 33.84 percent, an increase of 5.93 points compared to the April 2023 TPK which was 27.90 percent.
  • The number of foreign tourist visits in May 2023 was recorded at 1,913 visits, an increase of 216 visits compared to the previous month which reached 1,697 visits.
  • Cumulatively, the number of foreign tourists visiting North Kalimantan in the January-May 2023 period reached 9,328 visits.
  • Sea transport passengers departing increased from 18,429 people to 29,714 people in May 2023. The amount of goods loaded increased from 1,148,810 tons to 1,328,625 tons in May 2023.
  • The number of airplanes departing from airports in North Kalimantan was recorded to have increased from 513 to 583 flights in May 2023. The number of departing passengers decreased from 33,244 to 29,001 people in May 2023
