In April, the Combined 2 Cities (Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City) experienced year on year (YoY) inflation of 4.02 percent, monthly inflation of 0.57 percent and calendar inflation of 1.20 percent.

Abstract

  • Of the 90 cities monitored by the national CPI, April 2023. The highest year on year (yoy) inflation was Kotabaru City at 6.75 percent, Tual City at 6.15 percent and Sumenep City at 5.90 percent. Meanwhile, the cities with the lowest inflation were Gunungsitoli City at 3.20 percent, Mamuju City at 2.96 percent, and Pangkal Pinang City at 2.78 percent.
  • The combined prices of goods/services for the City of Tarakan and the City of Tanjung Selor in April 2023 experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 4.02 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.57 percent. Tanjung Selor City experienced Year on year (yoy) inflation of 5.29 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.50 percent. The city of Tarakan experienced year on year (yoy) inflation of 3.70 percent with monthly inflation (mtm) of 0.58 percent.
  • The combined annual inflation (yoy) for Tarakan City and Tanjung Selor City was influenced by the transportation group by 17.72 percent, the personal care and other services group by 5.71 percent, the equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance group by 3.21 percent, the group food, beverages and tobacco by 2.52 percent, the group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 2.00 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 1.24 percent, the education group by 0.63 percent, the health group by 0.58 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.42 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.23 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by 0.04 percent.
