Abstract

Farmer Terms of Trade (FTT) is the comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • FTT is an indicator to determine the level of ability / purchasing power of rural farmers. FTT also shows the terms of trade of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs. The higher the FTT, the relatively strong the farmer's level of ability / purchasing power.
  • FTT of Kalimantan Utara Province in March 2021 amounted to 104.30 or an increase of 0.36 percent compared to FTT in February 2021. The increase in FTT was caused by changes in the Price Index Received by Farmers (It) which was higher than the Price Index Paid by Farmers (Ib).
  • FTT per sub-sector of Kalimantan Utara Province in March 2021, namely the Food Crop Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPP) of 99.14; Horticultural Farmer Terms of Trade (NTPH) of 94.97; Smallholder Plantation Crops Terms of Trade (NTPR) of 128.37; Livestock Farmers Terms of Trade (NTPT) is 105.38 and Fishermen and Fish Cultivators Terms of Trade (NTNP) is 101.03.
