Abstract

    Of the 90 municipalities monitored for the national CPI, in January 2021, 75 municipalities experienced inflation and 15 other municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Mamuju Municipality at 1.43 percent and the lowest inflation was in Ambon Municipality at 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation was in Bau-Bau Municipality at -0.92 percent and the lowest was in Pontianak Municipality at -0.01 percent.
  • Kalimantan Utara Province Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in January 2021 experienced deflation of -0.58 percent. Meanwhile, Tarakan Municipality experienced deflation of -0.85 percent and Tanjung Selor experienced inflation of 0.49 percent.
  • Deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the price index in the transportation group by -9.78 percent, the health group by -0.03 percent and the clothing and beverage group by -0.00 percent. Meanwhile, inflation in Kalimantan Utara (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by the increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.76 percent, the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.47 percent, the food supply group. and beverages / restaurants by 0.36 percent, the education group by 0.17 percent, the personal care and other services group by 0.17 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuels group by 0.15 percent, the information group, communication and financial services by 0.01 percent and the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.00 percent.
