Abstract

    Out of 90 municipalities on national CPI monitoring, in December 2020, 87 municipalities experienced inflation and 3 other municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Gunung Sitoli Municipality at 1.87 percent and the lowest inflation was in Tanjung Selor Municipality at 0.05 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation was in Luwuk Municipality at -0.26 percent and the lowest was in Ambon Municipality at -0.07.
  • Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in December 2020 an inflation of 0.12 percent occurred. Meanwhile, Tarakan Municipality experienced an inflation of 0.13 percent and Tanjung Selor experienced an inflation of 0.05 percent.
  • Inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by the increase in the price index in the food, beverage and tobacco category by 1.03 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.53 percent, the equipment, equipment group and routine household maintenance by 0.12 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.06 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.03 percent, the health group by 0.00 percent, the education group by 0.00 percent and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.00 percent. Meanwhile, deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the price index in the personal care and other services group by -1.24 percent and the transportation group by -1.14 percent.
