Abstract

    Of the 90 municipalities that monitored the national CPI, in October 2020, 66 municipalities experienced inflation and 24 other municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was found in Sibolga Municipality at 1.04 percent and the lowest inflation was in Jember Municipality at 0.01 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation was in Manokwari Municipality at -1.81 percent and the lowest was in Surabaya Municipality at -0.02.
  • Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in October 2020 experienced deflation of -0.21 percent. Meanwhile, Tarakan Municipality experienced deflation of -0.28 percent and Tanjung Selor experienced inflation of 0.07 percent.
  • Deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the price index in the personal care and other services group by -0.84 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by -0.43 percent, the food, beverages and tobacco group by -0.27 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by -0.10 percent, the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by -0.01 percent and the clothing and footwear group by -0 , 00 percent. Meanwhile, inflation in Kalimantan Utara Municipality (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the price index in the transportation group by 0.10 percent, the health group by 0.02 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.00 percent, the education by 0.00 percent and the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.00 percent.
