Abstract

Of the 90 municipalities that monitored the national CPI, in August 2020, 37 municipalities experienced inflation and 53 other municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Meulaboh Municipality at 0.88 percent and the lowest inflation was in Kotamobagu Municipality at 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the highest deflation was in Kupang Municipality at -0.92 percent and the lowest was in Sibolga Municipality at -0.01.

Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in August 2020 experienced an inflation of 0.17 percent. Meanwhile, Tarakan Municipality experienced inflation of 0.35 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced deflation of -0.53 percent.
Inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the index in the transportation group of 4.69 percent, the personal care and other services group of 2.66 percent, the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.29 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.00 percent, the health group by 0.00 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.00 percent, the education group by 0.00 percent, and the provision group food and beverages / restaurants by 0.00 percent. Meanwhile, deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the index in the food, beverage and tobacco category by -1.96 percent, the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by -0.14 percent and the clothing group. and footwear by -0.00 percent.
