Abstract

    Out of 90 national CPI monitoring municipalities, in May 2020 there were 67 municipalities experiencing inflation and 23 other municipalities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation was in Tanjung Pandan by 1.20 percent and the lowest inflation was in Madiun by 0.01 percent. The highest deflation was in Luwuk by -0.39 percent and the lowest deflation was in the Manado Municipality by -0.01 percent.
  • Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in May 2020 there was a deflation of -0.10 percent. Meanwhile Tarakan Municipality experienced deflation of -0.27 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced inflation of 0.56 percent.
  • Deflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by a decrease in the index in the food, beverage and tobacco group by -0.50 percent and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by -0.00 percent. While inflation in Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the index in the health group by 0.65 percent, the personal care and other services group by 0.20 percent, the group of equipment, equipment and routine household maintenance by 0 , 13 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.11 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.11 percent, the education group by 0.03 percent, the food and beverage / restaurant supply group by 0.01 percent, the transportation group by 0.01 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.00 percent.
