Abstract

Out of 90 national CPI monitoring municipalities, in April 2020 there were 39 municipalities experiencing inflation and 51 other municipalities experiencing deflation. The highest inflation was in BauBau Municipalitiy by 0.88 percent and the lowest inflation in Balikpapan Municipality was 0.02 percent. The highest deflation was in Pangkal Pinang Municipality by -0.92 percent and the lowest deflation was in Bogor Municipality by -0.02 percent.

Kalimantan Utara Province (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) in April 2020 there was an inflation of 0.13 percent. Meanwhile Tarakan Municipality experienced inflation of 0.20 percent and Tanjung Selor Municipality experienced deflation of -0.17 percent.
Inflation in Kalimantan Utara (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was influenced by an increase in the index in the personal care and other services group by 1.30 percent, the food, beverage and tobacco group by 0.96 percent, the health group by 0.10 percent, the food and beverage / restaurant providers group by 0.05 percent, the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.01 percent, the clothing and footwear group by 0.00 percent, the recreation, sports and culture group by 0.00 percent , the education group by 0,00 percent, and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0,00 percent. While deflation in Kalimantan Utara (Combined Tarakan and Tanjung Selor Municipality) was affected by a decrease in the index in the transportation group by -1.82 percent and the information, communication and financial services group by -0.88 percent.
