Abstract

    The Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) of starred hotels in Tarakan Municipality in December 2019 was 48.61 percent, an increase of 3.64 points compared to the November 2016 TPK of 44.97 percent.
  • Room Occupancy Rate (ROR) of other accommodation hotels in Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2019 was 26.56 percent, a decrease of 1.32 points compared to the ROR for November 2019 which was 27.88 percent.
  • The average length of foreign and domestic guests staying at star hotels and other accommodation in Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2019 for 1.31 days. The average length of stay of foreign guests is 1.34 days and the average length of stay of domestic guests is 1.31 days.
  • The number of foreign tourist arrivals in December 2019 was recorded at 57,243 visits, an increase of 6,978 visits compared to the previous month which reached 50,265 visits.
  • Cumulatively, the number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting Kalimantan Utara in the January – December 2018 period reached 358,684 visits, while during January – December 2019 it reached 584,453 visits.
  • Sea transportation passengers departing in December 2019 were 30,493 people, up 60.38 percent compared to the previous month (November 2019), which recorded 19,013 people. The number of goods loaded in December 2019 decreased by 11.39 percent or down from 996,968 tons in November 2019 became 883,401 Tons in December 2019.
  • The number of aircraft departing from the Airport in Kalimantan Utara Province in December 2019 recorded 865 flights, an increase of 5.23 percent compared to the previous month (November 2019) which recorded 822 flights. The number of passengers leaving in December was 49,751 people, an increase of 11.44 percent compared to November 2019 with 44,644 people.
