Abstract

Of 82 municipalities monitoring national CPI, in June 2019, as many as 76 municipalities experienced inflation and 6 other municipalities experienced deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Manado Municipality at 3.60 percent and the lowest occurred in Singaraja Municipality by 0.02 percent. While the highest deflation occurred in Tanjung Pandan Municipality at -0.41 percent and the lowest occurred in Jayapura Municipality at -0.08 percent.

Kalimantan Utara Province (Tarakan Municipality) in June 2019, there was inflation of 0.53 percent with the inflation rate of the calendar year of 2.21 percent and year-on-year inflation of 3.10 percent.
Inflation in Kalimantan Utara (Tarakan Municipality) was influenced by the increase in the price index in the foodstuffs group by 1.42 percent, the transportation and communication group by 0.89 percent, the clothing group by 0.25 percent, the education, recreation and sports group by 0, 24 percent, processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.03 percent and health groups by 0.02 percent. While those experiencing a decline in the price index occurred in the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group by -0.03 percent.
