The number of poor people of Kalimantan Utara Province in September 2018 reached 49.59 thousands (6.86 percent) decreased 0.23 percentage points compared to March 2018 that reached 50.35 thousands (7.09 percent).
During March 2018 – September 2018, the poverty line increased 5.88 percentage points, from Rp 586,049.- / capita / month on March 2018 to Rp 620,501.- / capita / month on September 2018.
On the period March 2018 – September 2018, the Poverty Depth Index decreased from 1.095 points to 0.911 points. Similarly with the Poverty Severity Index decreased from 0.265 points to 0.175 points.
In September 2018, inequality of population expenditure rate that counted from Gini Ratio reached 0.304 points, did not experience significant changed relatively compared to March 2018 which recorded at 0.303.
In September 2018, the distribution of the lowest 40 percent population expenditure group reached 21.29 percent. It means that the population expenditure is still in the low level of inequality category.
