Abstract

Economy of Kalimantan Utara Province in the second quarter of 2018 as measured by the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp. 20.98 trillion and on the basis of constant 2010 prices reached Rp. 14.08 trillion.
Economy of Kalimantan Utara Quarter II of 2018 grew by 4.63 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year (Quarter II of 2017) (y-on-y). In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the Electricity and Gas Procurement Business Sector which grew by 15.28 percent. While from the expenditure side, the Government Consumption Expenditures component grew the highest by 24.93 percent.
When compared to the previous quarter, Kalimantan Utara's economic performance in the second quarter of 2018 grew by 0.24 percent (q-to-q). The highest growth according to the business field q-to-q was achieved by the Mandatory Business Administration, Defense and Social Security Business Fields which grew by 6.04 percent. In terms of expenditure, the component that contributed to Kalimantan Utara's economic growth was a component of Government Consumption Expenditures.
Cumulatively, Kalimantan Utara's economic growth in Semester I-2018 (Quarter I and II-2018) compared to Semester I-2017 (Quarter I and II-2017) grew by 5.12 percent (c-to-c).
