Abstract

  • Human development in Kalimantan Utara continues to progress, marked by the continued increase in the value of the Human Development Index (HDI). In 2017, Kalimantan Utara's HDI reached 69.84, an increase of 0.64 points compared to last year's IPM of 69.20.
  • The progress of human development in Kalimantan Utara in 2017 has accelerated. Characterized by the growth of HDI reached 0.92 percent, higher than the growth in 2016 which only reached 0.64 percent.
  • By 2017, the human development status in Kalimantan Utara is at the "Medium" level or category. The status is still the same as in 2016.
  • Each component of Kalimantan Utara's HDI is improving. With the highest growth for the Per Capita Adjusted Expenditure component, the lowest is Life Expectancy Age (UHH). The value or achievement of UHH, School Expectation (HLS), School Average (RLS) and Adjusted Per Capita Expenditure, respectively 72.47 years, 12.79 years, 8.62 years, and 8.643 million rupiah.
  • Increasing HDI in Kalimantan Utara occurred throughout the region, with the highest HDI was Kota Tarakan (75.27), while the lowest was Kabupaten Nunukan (65.10).
