Abstract

The economy of Kalimantan Utara in Quarter III-2016 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp 16.89 trillion and GRDP at constant 2010 prices reached Rp 12.72 trillion.

The economic performance of North Kalimantan in the third quarter of 2016 increased by 1.86 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q), but when compared to the same quarter in 2015 it increased by 3.32 percent (y-on-y) . Cumulatively, the economic growth of North Kalimantan from the first quarter to the third quarter of 2016 compared to the same period in 2015 increased by 2.49 percent (c-to-c).

Economic Growth of North Kalimantan The third quarter-2016 y-on-y in terms of production is influenced by performance growth in most of the business fields showing a positive trend. Only two business fields experienced a decrease in the Mining and Quarrying Fields which was corrected by negative 5.62 percent and the Company Services Field was negative at 4.51 percent. While in terms of expenditure is strongly influenced by the increase in performance on the components of Foreign Exports and components Formation of Gross Fixed Capital (PMTB), which each experienced growth of 183.10 percent and 6.68 percent.
