Abstract

Human development in the Province of Kalimantan Utara Province in 2015 continues to progress marked by the increasing Human Development Index (HDI) Province of North Kalimantan Province. By 2015, HDI Province of North Kalimantan Province has reached 68.76. This figure increased by 0.12 points compared with the HDI Province of North Kalimantan Province in 2014 which amounted to 68.64.

By 2015, human development in the Province of Kalimantan Utara has a "moderate" status, still the same as its status in 2014. HDI Province of North Kalimantan Province in 2015 grew by 0.18 percent compared to 2014.

During the period 2014 to 2015, the components of the HDI also increased. Newborns have an opportunity to live up to 72.16 years, an increase of 0.04 years over the previous year. Children aged 7 years have an opportunity to attend school for 12.54 years, an increase of 0.01 years compared to 2014. Meanwhile, the population aged 25 years and over on average have been educated for 8.36 years, increased by 0, 01 years compared to the previous year. The per capita expenditure adjusted (constant 2012 prices) of the community has reached 8.35 million rupiah by 2015, an increase of 65.11 thousand rupiah compared to the previous year.
